Model 3 – a complete guide to the phenomenal experience

If you’re not already familiar with the Tesla Model 3 then read on! Our Tesla Rental fleet includes the Model 3 – we’re big fans so we thought we’d give you the low down on what you can expect when renting this Model from us!

Constant updates – over the air

One of the most amazing things about your Tesla Model 3 is that mostly all of the updates that need to be done are software updates – these can improve performance, add autopilot features or simply add an interesting new easter egg that will add a bit of fun to your next trip.

The keys

The Tesla Model 3 has 3 keys – a Tesla key card, a key fob (which is an additional accessory that you can purchase) and lastly, your phone which you can set up through the Tesla mobile app. To unlock your electric car with the Tesla key card, simply swipe the card on the B-pillar and the car will unlock. To unlock the Model 3 with the key fob or phone, just walk up to the Tesla, push the right side of the door handle and pull open – the car actually unlocks itself when you are about 1.5 meters away.

What ignition

There’s actually no ignition in your Model 3 – and it’s not necessary to “turn the engine”. Get in, depress the brake pedal, push the right stork on the steering column down to go forward and up to go in reverse.

Making your drive more comfortable

All adjustments to your driving position in the Tesla Model 3 are made in the central touchscreen. Adjustments can be made to your steering wheel position, mirrors and driving seat position among others.
