Autopilot is really the future of driving – and while all Teslas come fitted with the hardware needed for the autopilot features, you need to enable it through software updates. If you haven’t already enabled autopilot – what are you waiting for? Here are some of the features you can expect.

Advanced sensor coverage 

The cameras around the Tesla provide a full 360 degrees of visibility for up to 250 meters – nothing will get missed! Between 8 cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors, your car will detect both hard and soft objects and prevent collision. To top it all off, your Tesla has a forward facing radar system that can see through heavy rain, fog or dust, providing additional data.

Tesla’s vision ensures that a full and complete view of the surrounding environment is always captured. And with Autopilot’s advanced safety features, you can truly relax during the most boring parts of your drive. Your Autopilot actually takes over the steering, accelerating and braking – but just remember, the current Autopilot features do need driver supervision (such as touching the steering wheel every now and then to let the car know that you are still active).

Navigate on Autopilot

Navigate on Autopilot is another really cool feature that’s relatively new – it suggests lane changes to make your route more efficient and makes adjustments that will have you out of slow traffic in no time. It will also automatically get your car to your highway exits based on your set destination!

Smart Summon

Smart Summon is very exciting! Imagine standing at the entrance of the shops and it’s raining – your car is 25 meters away and you really don’t want to get wet! Well! Your Tesla can come to you! With Smart Summon, your Tesla will navigate itself out of it’s parking place and drive itself to where you are standing – all you have to do is Smart Summon it via your app.
